Quasiperiodic Graphs: Structural Design, Scaling and Entropic Properties
نویسندگان
چکیده
A novel class of graphs, here named quasiperiodic, are constructed via application of the Horizontal Visibility algorithm to the time series generated along the quasiperiodic route to chaos. We show how the hierarchy of mode-locked regions represented by the Farey tree is inherited by their associated graphs. We are able to establish, via Renormalization Group (RG) theory, the architecture of the quasiperiodic graphs produced by irrational winding numbers with pure periodic continued fraction. Finally, we demonstrate that the RG fixed-point degree distributions are recovered via optimization of a suitably defined graph entropy.

Wavefunctions, quantum diffusion, and scaling exponents in golden-mean quasiperiodic tilings.
We study the properties of wavefunctions and the wavepacket dynamics in quasiperiodic tight-binding models in one, two, and three dimensions. The atoms in the one-dimensional quasiperiodic chains are coupled by weak and strong bonds aligned according to the Fibonacci sequence. The associated d-dimensional quasiperiodic tilings are constructed from the direct product of d such chains, which yiel...
متن کاملStructural properties of fuzzy graphs
Matroids are important combinatorial structures and connect close-lywith graphs. Matroids and graphs were all generalized to fuzzysetting respectively. This paper tries to study connections betweenfuzzy matroids and fuzzy graphs. For a given fuzzy graph, we firstinduce a sequence of matroids from a sequence of crisp graph, i.e.,cuts of the fuzzy graph. A fuzzy matroid, named graph fuzzy matro...
متن کاملKinetic Theory of Random Graphs
Statistical properties of evolving random graphs are analyzed using kinetic theory. Treating the linking process dynamically, structural characteristics of links, paths, cycles, and components are obtained analytically using the rate equation approach. Scaling laws for finite systems are derived using extreme statistics and scaling arguments.
متن کاملOPTIMAL GROUND MOTION SCALING USING ENHANCED SWARM INTELLIGENCE FOR SIZING DESIGN OF STEEL FRAMES
Dynamic structural responses via time history analysis are highly dependent to characteristics of selected records as the seismic excitation. Ground motion scaling is a well-known solution to reduce such a dependency and increase reliability to the dynamic results. The present work, formulate a twofold problem for optimal spectral matching and performing consequent sizing optimization based on ...
متن کاملDiffractive Point Sets with Entropy
After a brief historical survey, the paper introduces the notion of entropic model sets (cut and project sets), and, more generally, the notion of diffractive point sets with entropy. Such sets may be thought of as generalizations of lattice gases. We show that taking the site occupation of a model set stochastically results, with probabilistic certainty, in well-defined diffractive properties ...
